Summer Chance

Every summer Japan celebrates with festivals (matsuri) all over the country. To join in on the fun Google Play runs one of their largest campaigns in Japan known as “Summer Chance.” For this campaign I created a huge cast of characters and landscape illustrations to bring the excitement of the season alive. There’s tons of details and Easter eggs hidden throughout these illustrations, and I had a blast making the mascots. I can only hope that someday they will make them real. Motion done by Haydn Cieri.
